Alison Carroll Yin Yoga
"Life is a balance of holding and letting go"
"I am thoroughly enjoying the Yin experience! I think getting out for ‘me time’ is so beneficial to my mind and the stretching so beneficial to my body."
"Alison is more than a Yoga teacher – she has that rare ability to connect the physical with the spirit and to do it in a common sense, practical way."
"We have been practising Yoga for twenty odd years, the last four to five with Alison. We love her classes, she is very attuned to each person's physical and mental state and tailors her classes to her groups. Alison's classes take place in a relaxed, calm atmosphere where one can really concentrate on the Yoga and leave the outside world behind. The breathing exercises have made a huge difference to being able to relax, get to sleep and relieve stress."

She trained with FRYOG (Friends of Yoga International) and holds qualifications from Yoga Alliance and Real Yoga. In 2016 she completed an 100 hour Yin Yoga teacher training in Sydney, Australia and now teaches Yin Yoga here in the Cotswolds.
“I came to Yoga in my early 40’s out of frustration with a bad neck. I had visited many different therapists seeking a cure with no long term improvement.
A friend suggested I try Yoga. I clearly remember, after my first class, feeling that I had finally been handed the instruction manual to my body. And how exciting this was.
At last there was a way for me to help myself to alleviate the tightness and tension that had been causing my neck issues.
I felt empowered and exhilarated by the tools that Yoga had given me.
After a visit to Australia in early 2016 I came across Yin Yoga and immediately saw how it is the perfect balance to our full-on hectic lifestyles. Later that year I travelled back to Sydney for the most significant and life changing training of my teaching career.
Discovering Yoga has been a real gift for me and I feel very privileged to be able to share its wisdom with other people and empower them also to take charge of their lives and find peace, happiness and contentment amidst the challenges of modern living."
Alison has been teaching Yoga for more than 14 years.
